The people arrive energized knowing who they will be meeting, ready to start conversations knowing what people like to talk about and also what they are hoping to learn at this meeting.

The Story:

The Big Ooga is a community of entrepreneurs based in Chicago. This Weave is of a meeting in August 2009 which helped people learn about who they would be meeting and provided a great way for people to stay connected. ChicagoSocialDevCamp Chicago 2009 Weave.

The Story:

A group of talented techies gathered for two days in Chicago to learn, connect and create software. Prior to the event we created a weave where people shared their talents, their interests, their websites and Social Media links. Using email and twitter we invited people to be curious about the people they would meet so they could be social face-to-face. A huge success resulting in great connections and creations.

The Story:

Employees can collaborate more efficiently if they communicate with awareness of their own and other people's preferences. This is a sample Weave based on an actual meeting where each individual first received a profile explaining their prefernces and then a facilitator led a conversation on how these insights could help teams collaborate.
