Weaving The CEC

The last 12 months have been an exciting time in Chicago and the Weave team has had a front row view in 2011. The technology ecosystem is blooming and the number of young companies completing financing rounds, establishing traction and gaining recognition has risen significantly.

A number of organizations and events have been a catalyst for change and made this progress visible to the wider world. One organization in particular has been driving the ecosystem forward.

Examples of Ranking views

Questions that ask the user to place ranks against answers (e.g. Top 1, Top 2, Top 3)  allow the ranking view to be used on a Weave. The ranking view shows photos over the Top 1 response and displays bars for the Top 2 and 3 responses.

The benefit of this view is that it show the distibution of prioirties across the group.

Examples of Match views

Match views are used to litterally match attendes based on a common attribute. For example, strengths and weaknesses.

Users of the Weave can select a category from the options on the right and view who is strong and who is looking for help in that area. The ideal scenario is for meeting attendees to help each other by discovering who in the room they can help and who can help them.

Example of Profiles

There are 2 places profile information can go:

The first is the Profile Card (first image below) that is revealed when a face is clicked. The Profile Card can contain any of the information submitted on the People in the Weave. It is quite common for the free text field answers in the survey to be displayed here.

Example of Groups with backgrounds

A group view can have a background to make it more relevant or integral to your meeting content. NB - The image must be at least 650x400 and be of good quaulity to be used.

Here are some examples of group views with backgrounds.

Examples of Maps

Maps Views are created by asking people a location question and providing a limited set of answers, such as countries, regions or even office locations.

Here are some examples of map views:
